Benner Award 2009
The 10th Annual Benner Award, in memory of Nancy Benner, was given to Don Frey, co-founder of Architectural Energy Corporation and California Commissioning Collaborative Advisory Council chairperson. Mr. Frey was recognized for his outstanding achievement in making commissioning “business as usual.” With more than 30 years of experience in the building industry, Mr. Frey is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in developing and applying innovative performance evaluation and commissioning technologies in residential and commercial buildings. The work of Mr. Frey and his colleagues at Architectural Energy Corporation has been responsible for untold energy savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions in new and existing residential and commercial buildings.
