Conference Tracks

Commissioning A to Z is for those who are new to the industry or want a better understanding of how the commissioning process works. The sessions in this track will provide an overview of the key aspects of commissioning and retrocommissioning. They will cover topics such as scoping and specifying work, design phase commissioning, commissioning and green building, and specific project examples.

RCx Inroads & Updates will focus on the recent advances in retrocommissioning, the perspective of building owners, and specific projects in California and other states. It will provide attendees with a better understanding of the market forces at work in the practice of retrocommissioning, as well as the progress being made in this field.

Innovations: The New Frontier for Commissioning will explore the latest trends and advancements in the industry. Sessions will address persistence strategies and ongoing monitoring, commissioning and demand response, and new methods for selling retrocommissioning to commercial property owners.

Advanced Technical will include longer, in-depth sessions, designed to serve as technical training courses for commissioning providers. Monitoring and verification, daylighting, HVAC control strategies, and chiller plant efficiencies are just a few of the topics that will be addressed in this track.

Business & Legal will concentrate on the financial and legal processes and issues that underlie commissioning. This includes team coordination, risk management, codes and standards, and training and educational needs.

Building-Specific Commissioning will address the various aspects and needs specific to commissioning certain building types, including mission critical facilities, such as hospitals and labs, schools, and data centers..
